About Us:
Amalfi's of Boone was founded in 2012, by Vincenzo Spina, Raffale Lubrano, and Onofrio Costagliola. All three of them were born off the coast of Naples in a small town called Bacoli. Bacoli is 20 miles north from the Amalfi coast. Vincenzo and Raffale both studied at the L'Istituto Alberghiero di Napoli culinary school. Vincenzo and Raffale came to America 10 years ago, and were lucky enough to be here for the grand opening of the Amalfi's in Statesville. After putting 5 years of hard work, love, and dedication into the business the owner turned the restaurant over to them in 2006. Onofrio(Tony)
began working in a restaurant at age 13. As an adult, he graduated from L'Istituto Alberghiero di Sassari culinary school in Sardinia, Italy, before bringing his family to the United States. Before he took over Amalfi's, Tony was well known as the chef for Elizabeth Pizza & Italian Restaurant, in Greensboro. Onofrio, Vincenzo and Raffale were good friends and decided in 2011 to come together to open an Amalfi's in Boone. Their wives Tiziana, Lellena and Debora are always at their side providing helpful insight and a flair that only
a real Italian women could provide. Their combinded knowledge has created an authentic Mediterranean dining experience.
